A 22-year-old man has been remanded in custody for 30 days after he assaulted his former foster caregiver and violated an order of protection.

The 22-year-old man from Craiova was detained for 24 hours and then remanded in custody for 30 days on charges of assaulting the former maternal nurse and violating a protection order. The 71-year-old woman reported to the police that she had been physically assaulted and threatened, and that the young man had violated the protection order, which prohibited him from approaching her. The judge approved his remand in custody.
