Yellow storm warning, Monday, in Bucharest and 14 counties

Meteorologists issued a yellow code for atmospheric instability on Monday, valid between 12:00 and 21:00, in Bucharest and in the counties of Argeș, Bacău, Brăila, Buzău, Călărași, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Galați, Giurgiu, Ilfov, Ialomița, Prahova, Tulcea, and Vrancea.

This will manifest through torrential downpours, electrical discharges, intensifications of the wind with speeds of 50-70 km/h, and small to medium-sized hail falls.

The amounts of water will vary between 15-25 l/m², while isolated areas may accumulate over 30-40 l/m² in short time intervals. On Tuesday, the yellow code will be restricted to six counties in Dobrogea and northern Muntenia, where manifestations of atmospheric instability will continue. The affected counties on Tuesday will be Argeș, Buzău, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Prahova, and Tulcea.
