Meteorologists announced on Saturday a yellow alert for heatwave, valid for Sunday, in six counties in Romania: Timiș, Arad, Bihor, Satu Mare, Maramureș, and Sălaj. In these regions, extremely high temperatures are expected, with maximums reaching between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, which will generate high thermal discomfort and local heatwave conditions.
Additionally, on Monday, August 17, the weather will remain hot in the western, northwestern, and southwestern regions, but an increase in atmospheric instability is expected starting in the evening hours. This alert serves as a warning for the population, recommending protective measures against extreme heat.
