Two women, known on TikTok as 'Mother Veronica' and 'Mother Maria', are soliciting money from users for various spiritual services, such as prayers and fortune-telling, using the image of the Pasărea Monastery.

The monastery, an important pilgrimage site for Orthodox Christians, has distanced itself from these activities through a post, emphasizing that no nun from the community asks for money for prayers. Father Calinic, the spiritual leader of the monastery, warned the faithful not to confuse occult practices with authentic religious life. Although the phenomenon has been reported on social media, the accounts have not been investigated until now, and users are asking the authorities to intervene, considering that these accounts have already deceived several people.
