Botoșani firefighters rescued a 65-year-old woman who fell into a six-meter-deep well

A 65-year-old woman was rescued by firefighters on Thursday morning after falling into an approximately six-meter-deep well in the village of Cătămărăști Vale, Botoșani County. The intervention was carried out against the clock, and the victim was brought to the surface and transported to hospital.

Firefighters from the Botoșani Detachment arrived at the scene as quickly as possible, with a fire engine and specialized equipment, a vehicle equipped for search and rescue operations, and a SMURD Mobile Intensive Care Unit crew.

Rescuers found that the woman was conscious and immediately began the extraction operation. After she was brought to the surface, the victim was taken over by the medical crew and transported to hospital for specialized care. Firefighters are to establish the circumstances in which the woman fell into the well.
