A 49-year-old woman from Olt County was found dead, and her partner was detained after investigators established that he had previously assaulted her.

The man claimed that he found her dead, but investigators discovered that, the previous evening, he had physically assaulted her following a conflict generated by alcohol consumption. The police were alerted by a call to 112 and found the lifeless body of the woman, who showed signs of violence. The body was transported to the hospital for an autopsy. Following the investigations, it was confirmed that the death was caused by the injuries sustained during the assault. The man will be presented to the Olt Tribunal with a proposal for preventive arrest for 30 days.
