Wizz Air has announced the permanent suspension of flights to Abu Dhabi, affecting routes from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Chisinau. The decision, effective September 1, 2025, is the result of a reassessment of market conditions, operational challenges and geopolitical instability in the Middle East. The company will focus on strengthening operations in Central and Eastern Europe. Passengers with booked flights will be contacted for refunds or travel alternatives. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, launched in 2021, will not affect the group's other operations.
