The low-cost airline Wizz Air has announced that it will double the frequency of flights between Bucharest Otopeni and Chișinău, starting from October 25, 2026, reaching 14 flights per week, compared to seven currently.

Tickets for the new schedule are already available on the company's website and mobile app. This increase in the number of flights aims to provide greater flexibility for passengers traveling between the two capitals, both for tourism and business reasons.

The Bucharest-Chișinău route is one of the most popular air connections between Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The announcement comes in the context of expanding the flight network from Romania, with Wizz Air planning to launch two new routes: Bucharest Otopeni-Almeria, starting October 26, and Brașov-Valencia, from November 3.
