The airline Wizz Air has announced the expansion of its operations at Sibiu International Airport by bringing a second aircraft and launching a new route to Milan - Bergamo, scheduled for January 2026. This will offer more than 1 million seats on sale, marking a 48% increase in capacity compared to 2024. Passengers can already fly on routes to cities including Basel, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hamburg, Madrid, Rome and Vienna. The directors of Wizz Air and Sibiu Airport underline the importance of this expansion for the regional development and accessibility of low-cost travel.
