Wiz Khalifa, the well-known American rapper, received a final sentence of 9 months in prison from the Constanța Court of Appeal after being found guilty of possession of drugs for personal use. The incident occurred in 2024 during the 'Beach, Please' festival, where the artist smoked marijuana on stage. Initially, the Constanța Tribunal imposed a fine of 3,600 lei, but DIICOT appealed, and the court decided to increase the sentence. Wiz Khalifa will also have to pay the legal costs incurred by the state during the appeal stage. The decision is final, and the rapper was sentenced under Law 143/2000.
