The decision of the Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR) regarding the amendment of judges' pensions was adopted on Wednesday with a majority of 6 to 3, marking the first important ruling under the leadership of President Simina Tănăsescu and the new judges Mihai Busuioc, Dacian Cosmin Dragoș, and Csaba Asztalos.

The judges who voted to reject the referral from the ICCJ, thus favoring the law, are Simina Tănăsescu, Mihai Busuioc, Dacian Cosmin Dragoș, Csaba Asztalos, Laura-Iuliana Scântei, and Mihaela Ciochină, while those who voted to admit the referral are Bogdan Licu, Gheorghe Stan, and Cristian Deliorga, the latter having a history of blocking previous decisions.
