Meta has announced that WhatsApp will allow businesses to make audio calls to customers using AI-created voices. This functionality, previously only available to small businesses, will facilitate business communication and allow AI agents to provide support and product recommendations. Meta will also introduce ads in the Updates section of the app, personalized based on user data. However, the rollout of this functionality in the European Union will be delayed until 2026 for a detailed legal review.
