Weather forecasters have issued a code orange for thunderstorms for Suceava, Botoșani, Neamț and Iași, and a code yellow for heat for 11 counties and Bucharest.

A code orange warning is issued for Suceava, Botoșani, Neamț and Iași counties, where gales with winds of 70-90 km/h and heavy rain are expected. Another 11 counties, including Bucharest, are under a code yellow heatwave with maximum temperatures of 35-37 degrees. Atmospheric instability and strong winds are also expected in Transylvania, Moldova and mountain areas. The warnings are valid until the evening.
