The final verdict in the case of Vlad Pascu, responsible for an accident that killed two young people, is scheduled for August 18. The lower court sentenced him to 10 years in prison for manslaughter and other offenses. His lawyer has asked for a reduced sentence, while the victims' lawyer expects the appeal to be rejected. Pascu was found to be under the influence of illegal substances and left the scene of the accident, but was later caught by police. The court also awarded over €1.7 million in damages to the victims' families.
