The authorities in Sibiu are on alert after a tire depot in the locality of Veștem caught fire, the fire manifesting violently, with huge flames and large smoke emissions, visible from the National Road DN1. At the scene, intervention teams have mobilized three fire trucks with water and foam, a water tanker to ensure the water supply, and a SMURD crew to manage the situation. Images received from witnesses confirm the severity of the fire. Authorities continue to work to extinguish the fire and prevent its spread.
