The Municipality of Bucharest announced that the Victory Passage will undergo consolidation and modernization, considering that it has not been rehabilitated since 2009 and is in a critical state. The works, which will last 28 months, will include four months for design and 24 for the actual execution.

The passage, built in 1987 and having a length of 635 meters, is one of the most trafficked in the capital, also being used by trams 1 and 10. The authorities will rehabilitate the traffic lanes, the tram line, the sidewalks, and the platforms at the stations, will install electric platforms for accessibility, will modernize the electrical installations and public lighting, and will arrange the green spaces above the passage.

In addition, the Municipality announced the rehabilitation of other passages, such as Lujerului, Bucur Obor, and Băneasa Bridge, all having a seismic risk of grade V and requiring serious rehabilitation works. The duration of the works varies, being 33 months for Lujerului Passage, 24 months for Bucur Obor, and 17 months for Băneasa Bridge.
