Negrescu emphasized his efforts to obtain European funds for Romania's accession to Schengen and expressed confidence that the goal will be achieved by the end of the year. The agreement for Romania's full admission to Schengen was reached under the Hungarian Presidency of the EU Council and will be formalized at the meeting on 13 December 2024.
