The fire broke out near the road between Calafat municipality and the Vidin border crossing point, affecting a large area of land with dry vegetation. Firefighters are working to limit the spread of the fire, supported by a water tanker from Calafat Town Hall. Operations are difficult due to the wind, but no casualties or significant material damage have been reported so far.
