A woman of approximately 70 years old died in a wildfire in Galați County. Firefighters discovered her charred body.

On Friday, in Galați County, a woman approximately 70 years old died in a fire of dry vegetation that broke out in a cornfield in the locality of Nărtești, Gohor commune. The fire was reported via a 112 call around 12:00 PM, and a firefighting vehicle from the Tecuci Fire Department intervened at the scene.

The flames were spreading over an extensive area of dry vegetation and corn. During the intervention, firefighters discovered the charred body of the woman. The cause of the fire will be determined by specialists, and the police are conducting investigations to clarify the circumstances in which the tragedy occurred.
