The vegetation fire in Chilia, Tulcea county, has affected an area of over 1,000 hectares, including 50 hectares of forest. ISU ''Delta'' announced that the fire was most likely caused by a bird that touched a transformer, electrocuting itself and causing a spark. The fire broke out on Saturday and was extinguished on Sunday morning, with forestry workers remaining on the scene for surveillance.
