More than 40 ancient coins and ornaments were recently discovered at Histria in a burned-out Roman dwelling, suggesting that the artifacts were kept in a wooden box. The discoveries are part of an annual research campaign, highlighting the importance of the dwelling to the life of the city during the Principate period. The artefacts will be restored and included in the national cultural heritage, and research at Histria continues to reveal new aspects of the Early Roman era.
