The draft legislation tabled by USR establishes that anyone convicted of corruption will lose the right to the special pension, applying to all categories of beneficiaries, including magistrates. The judge will mention this loss in the sentence and if the conviction is overturned, the person will be reinstated. The government will report final sentences to Parliament annually, ensuring transparency. The initiative aims to strengthen citizens' trust in public institutions and promote the values of fairness and accountability.
