American Councils Romania has announced that the FLEX program, which allowed Romanian high school students to study for a year in the US, is suspending recruitment for the 2026-2027 school year. The reason cited is lack of financial resources. The program, which collaborates with the Romanian Ministry of Education, has offered cultural and educational exchange opportunities, but there will be no recruitment this year.
