The Bucharest Municipality Committee for Emergency Situations (CMBSU) has adopted urgent measures following the explosion in Sector 5, announced by prefect Andrei Nistor. The Capital City Hall and the Sector 5 City Hall will intervene to secure the affected building, including conducting a technical expertise and dismantling unstable structural elements. The report from the State Inspectorate in Construction highlighted serious damages, making the building unusable, with a high risk for residents and neighbors. The municipality will provide legal assistance to the tenants and will support the recovery of necessary belongings. Next week, a specialized company will be contracted to remove unstable elements. The conclusions of the expertise will determine the final measures, either complete demolition or partial consolidation of the building. Authorities continue activities to secure the area and support affected tenants.
