The municipal councilors of Bucharest approved a partnership protocol for the urban regeneration of the North Railway Station, involving the Sector 1 City Hall, the Ministry of Transport, Metrorex, and CFR SA. Recently, the Minister of Transport, Ciprian Șerban, discussed with mayors Stelian Bujduveanu and George Tuță about the reconfiguration of the station, which will include the development of an intermodal hub and the creation of new green spaces. A preliminary proposal for reconfiguration was presented, with the final solution to be chosen through an international competition. The protocol will integrate major ongoing projects, such as the Radial Roads and the Bucharest Metropolitan Train, thus contributing to the modernization of transport infrastructure and transforming the North Railway Station into a European intermodal hub, adapted to the mobility needs of the Capital.
