Head of ANPC, placed under judicial control by DNA for influence peddling, after receiving 15,000 lei to protect a club in Mamaia

The head of the Control Corps Service within the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), Bogdan-Eduard Dragomirescu, is being investigated by prosecutors from the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) for offenses of influence peddling and incitement to abuse of office after allegedly requesting and receiving money to intervene so that a club in Mamaia would not be temporarily closed.

According to prosecutors, in the summer of 2025, Dragomirescu allegedly demanded and received the sum of 15,000 lei from a representative of a club in Mamaia, promising that he would intervene to prevent the temporary closure of the establishment or the imposition of sanctions.

Following the inspection carried out by ANPC commissioners on July 18, 2025, they did not apply the appropriate measures, despite the identified deficiencies, thus affecting consumer protection.

Dragomirescu is under judicial control, having the obligation to present himself at the DNA and not to leave the country without the prosecutors' approval.
