Two young men, aged 17 and 24, were apprehended following searches conducted by police and DIICOT prosecutors in the locality of Cenei, Timiș County, being investigated for drug trafficking. Starting from the summer of 2025, the 24-year-old is alleged to have supplied cannabis to another 17-year-old, who, in turn, distributed the drugs to minors aged between 13 and 15 years. Following the searches, approximately 110 grams of cannabis and other tools related to drug use were confiscated.
The action was part of a broader investigation, which also targets the involvement of two 15-year-old adolescents in the murder of a 14-year-old friend, Mario Berinde. They admitted to having consumed drugs after committing the crime. The murder was planned for a month, and Mario was attacked with an axe and a knife. His body was hidden in a pit in the garden of one of the adolescents. Mario was buried on Saturday, and the investigation continues to determine the source of the drugs consumed by the suspects.
