On Wednesday, two students from Târgu-Jiu, R. C. and R. A., took the second test of the baccalaureate exam at the County Emergency Hospital, being hospitalized in the General Surgery II Department.

Both young people underwent emergency surgery, R. C. on June 28, 2026, and R. A. on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. Due to laparoscopic techniques, the surgical trauma was minimal, allowing for a quick recovery and the ability to focus on the exam.

Hospital representatives, in collaboration with the Gorj County School Inspectorate, ensured special conditions for taking the exam, monitoring the health status of the candidates. The two students will remain hospitalized and will take the third written test of the Baccalaureate exam on Thursday.

On Wednesday, the graduates took the mandatory profile test, and the elective test is scheduled for Thursday.
