59-year-old grandfather and an 80-year-old neighbor arrested in Bucharest for sexual abuse of minors

The Capital Police have arrested two men, a 59-year-old grandfather and an 80-year-old neighbor, for sexual abuse against their granddaughters and the children of acquaintances. The investigation began in January when a 9-year-old girl revealed to an aunt that her grandfather was threatening and sexually assaulting her.

The victim's mother reported the incidents to the police, and the man was arrested. Evidence found on his computer suggests that he filmed the abuses. It appears that the man had previously abused other granddaughters, and his neighbor committed similar acts against the same minor. Both suspects face over 20 years in prison if found guilty. Neither of them could be reached for comment.
