DIICOT apprehends two men for drug trafficking. One of them is a repeat offender and has sold psychoactive substances.

DIICOT prosecutors from Cluj have detained two defendants, aged 43 and 49, for high-risk drug trafficking. The 43-year-old defendant, a recidivist, is also accused of conducting operations with products knowing that they have psychoactive effects. Between the summer of 2023 and April 2026, the 49-year-old defendant procured and sold drugs, including from the other defendant, within Cluj County.

In 2026, he sold over 400 grams of substances such as 3CMC, 2MMC in combination with 4BMC and cocaine, at prices between 2,000 and 7,000 lei per transaction. Some of the drugs were supplied by the 43-year-old defendant, who was under house arrest for another case. The searches led to the confiscation of over 1.7 kilograms of 2MMC, 1 kilogram of 4BMC, 80 grams of cocaine, a precision scale, amounts of approximately 31,000 euros and 67,000 lei. The Cluj Tribunal ordered the preventive arrest of the two defendants.
