Recent statements by President Nicușor Dan regarding the limits of reform within state structures have sparked extremely critical reactions in the public space.

Artist and activist Tudor Chirilă had a direct message for President Nicușor Dan on Thursday evening, after the head of state spoke from Poland about reforming the "system".

"Nicușor Dan, you are not the head of the system; the system is your boss. So you have every reason to fight. The fact that you lack power, skill, or will is the problem of those who voted for you and who have noticed how the mandate they granted you is unilaterally revoked," wrote Tudor Chirilă in a brief message posted on his Facebook page.
