A man has died and his wife and two daughters were seriously injured in an accident on DN 28 near Târgu Frumos.

The accident occurred on DN 28, when the car driven by a woman towing a caravan collided violently with a group of vehicles. The man in the driver's seat was killed and the woman suffered severe injuries, including fractures and burns, and was taken to hospital in a serious condition. The girls were also seriously injured and doctors' prognoses are guarded. The driver of the van, who tested negative for alcohol, said he was surprised by the impact. The police have opened an investigation into manslaughter and personal injury.
