A 40-year-old man was accidentally killed by a friend while handling a gun in the parking lot of a guesthouse in Satu Mare.

The incident took place in a parking lot in Călinești Oaș, where a 29-year-old man handled a hunting weapon, causing an accidental discharge that led to the death of his 40-year-old friend. The victim was shot in the neck and, despite resuscitation efforts, did not survive. Investigators have opened a criminal case for manslaughter, and the weapon did not belong to either of the men. The victim's father stated that the friend wanted to show him the gun's chamber, and experts emphasize the risks of handling loaded firearms.
