The incident took place in a parking lot in Călinești Oaș, where a 29-year-old man handled a hunting weapon, causing an accidental discharge that led to the death of his 40-year-old friend. The victim was shot in the neck and, despite resuscitation efforts, did not survive. Investigators have opened a criminal case for manslaughter, and the weapon did not belong to either of the men.
