The Craiova - Pitesti Express Road has been completed, completing a high-speed route between Craiova and Constanta, with a total length of 121 km.

On July 31, the former Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, announced the opening of the last 12 km of the Craiova - Pitesti Express Road, completing a 121 km route. This high-speed road, linking Craiova and Constanta, was built with 3.1 billion lei in funding. With the inauguration, Romania reaches 1,325 km of express roads and motorways in operation, facilitating fast transportation between major cities. The project is essential for economic development, given the requirements of the Ford plant in Craiova.
