ANM: Thunderstorm warnings and unstable weather in Bucharest and other regions

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued a yellow code warning for atmospheric instability for most of Romania.

On Sunday, between 12:00 and 21:00, the weather will be unstable in Bucharest and in other areas of the country, with torrential downpours reaching 15-25 l/m², and isolated cases exceeding 30-40 l/m². The instability will also be accompanied by electrical discharges, small to medium-sized hail, and wind gusts of up to 70 km/h. On Monday, similar phenomena will affect locally Muntenia, the southwest of Moldova, the Eastern Carpathians, and the eastern half of the Southern Carpathians.

In Bucharest, on Sunday, the maximum temperature will reach 29 degrees Celsius, with variable skies and showers accumulating 15-20 l/m². The wind will have gusts of 50-60 km/h, with risks of storms and hail. On Monday, the temperature will decrease slightly, between 26 and 28 degrees, with increased cloudiness and rain in the evening.
