The Center for Major Burns in Timișoara will be completed by the end of this year, while the one in Târgu Mureș will open next spring. In 2026, the first center exclusively for children will become operational at Grigore Alexandrescu Hospital in Bucharest. The €60 million investment is made with the support of the World Bank. The minister emphasized that patients with severe burns will be transferred abroad if they cannot be treated in Romania. Work also continues on the Regional Oncology Institute in Timisoara, which is considered a national priority.
