On Friday, a 36-year-old man climbed the Bastion of the Maria Theresia Fortress in Timisoara, threatening to throw himself. Intervention teams, including gendarmes, police, fire brigade and ambulance, were mobilized. The gendarmes managed to set up an intervention device and surprise him, bringing the threatening man to safety. He was subsequently transported to the Psychiatric Hospital in Timisoara for evaluation.
