In a tragic incident that occurred in the locality of Cipău, two children, a 10-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy, drowned in the Mureș River. The two cousins went to swim but encountered difficulties and could not reach the shore.

Another child quickly realized the danger and called for help. Fire crews intervened on-site, starting the search with a boat, supported by divers from ISU Bistrița. The mission was time-sensitive, and when the children were found, they were immediately taken over by doctors for resuscitation. Unfortunately, after dozens of minutes of efforts, both children were declared dead. This tragic incident has left the community in a state of shock and mourning.
