The circulation of trains with electric traction was disrupted on Sunday afternoon in the area of the North Station in Bucharest, after the power supply to the contact line was interrupted at 16:04 due to unfavorable weather conditions.

The National Railway Company CFR SA announced that the lack of electric tension temporarily affects the circulation of electric trains, and specialized teams are on the ground to identify and remedy the malfunctions. The power supply will be resumed after the completion of interventions and technical checks.

During the incident, the capital and Ilfov County were under red alert, with wind gusts exceeding 90 km/h and torrential downpours. Authorities issued a RO-ALERT message advising the population to avoid travel and seek shelter.
