A 50-year-old man, an examining police officer, was fatally stabbed by his son in Piatra-Neamț.

A 50-year-old man, who worked as an examiner police officer within the Public Community Service for Driving License and Vehicle Registration in Neamț, was fatally stabbed by his son on Mihail Eminescu Boulevard in Piatra-Neamț on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred against the backdrop of a spontaneous conflict, and an ambulance crew intervened at the scene, declaring the victim dead. Authorities detained the suspect, aged 22, for 24 hours, and the investigation was taken over by a prosecutor from the Neamț Tribunal.

The spokesperson for IPJ Neamț, Ramona Ciofu, confirmed the details of the incident, which shocked the local community.
