The second auction for the sale of the Mangalia Shipyard is scheduled for July 29, 2026, with a registration deadline until July 27.
The starting price remains the same, 184 million euros, although the first auction had no bidders. At the time of the auction, all 1,011 employees will be laid off, with the last contracts ending on July 15. The liquidator CITR has confirmed that the sale will be made in bulk, without debts or participants, and the conditions remain unchanged. The specifications document costs 10,000 euros, and the participation guarantee is 18.4 million euros. The Creditors' Assembly has established that there will be at least six auctions, each with the same starting price.
Additionally, the Romanian Government has offered Rheinmetall a contract of 920 million euros for the construction of four military ships, including the takeover of the shipyard. The first auction had no buyers, and the starting price was considered too high.
