Mircea Abrudean, the president of the Senate, stated on Tuesday that the salary law will not satisfy everyone, but it is essential to be adopted quickly, considering the milestone in the PNRR, which involves 770 million euros, discussed since 2022. The law will be subject to public consultation for three weeks, to allow the involvement of all stakeholders. Abrudean emphasized that, although not all incomes will decrease, 87 out of the 151 bonuses will be reduced, with the rest to be included in a maximum of 20% of the gross salary. This reform is necessary to meet the requirements of the European Commission and to ensure the efficient functioning of Parliament. The agreement of the parties is crucial for closing this milestone, and Abrudean highlighted the importance of not losing European funds.
