The Ministry of Culture announced that the Royal Villa in Mamaia will undergo an extensive process of expertise and restoration, as part of a Framework Agreement for a loan with the Council of Europe Development Bank. The Minister of Culture, Demeter András István, emphasized the importance of this historical monument as a landmark of Romanian collective memory and stated that saving heritage is a form of respect for the past.

The Royal Villa was taken over for administration by the Ministry of Culture in the autumn of 2024, through a Government Decision, which allocates 5.7 million lei for its restoration. The Secretary of State, Diana Baciuna, mentioned that this monument reflects not only the history of the royal family but also the national identity of Romania, highlighting the ministry's commitment to protect and promote cultural heritage.
