A 14-year-old Romanian girl, missing from Italy, has been found in Gorj County, at the home of a 20-year-old man.

A Romanian teenager, 14 years old, who disappeared from Italy on July 4, 2026, was found on July 15 in Gorj County, at the home of a 20-year-old man from the Slivilești commune. Italian authorities requested the help of Romanian police after the girl left her family's home in Giulianova, Italy, without taking clothes or personal belongings.

The last contact with the family took place near Franchi Park, and her phone transmitted signals from Romania the day after her disappearance. The girl has been placed in a center of DGASPC Gorj, where she will remain until she is taken over by the Italian authorities.

Preliminary checks did not indicate that she had been the victim of a crime, but investigations continue to determine how she arrived in Romania. The exchange of information between IPJ Gorj and the Italian authorities was carried out through the International Police Cooperation Center - SIRENE.
