Saturday, November 15, 2025, the Romanian Police conducted extensive control actions to check drivers and prevent dangerous behaviors in traffic. As a result of these actions, 608 driving licenses were retained, of which 177 for exceeding the speed limit and 67 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, 560 registration certificates were withdrawn.

The operation, named 'Blockade', involved over 3,300 police officers and gendarmes, who set up 472 roadblocks, checking 8,239 vehicles and verifying 13,281 individuals. A total of 3,812 alcohol tests and 136 drug tests were conducted, resulting in 36 offenses related to road regulations.

These actions are part of a broader strategy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, aimed at reducing traffic risks and increasing road safety, in the context of the rising number of serious accidents and reports regarding alcohol and drug consumption while driving.
