At the national level, the Romanian Police has carried out actions to eliminate illegal firearms from circulation, confiscating 4,569 weapons and 393,911 cartridges. The activities aimed at establishing the traceability of weapons and preventing poaching, resulting in 2,293 raids and 13,261 checks. A total of 2,400 crimes were reported, including 1,445 under the Explosive Materials Law and 471 under the Game Fund Law. Notable examples include the searches in Constanța County, where a man was investigated for the illegal use of weapons, and in Timiș, where decommissioned ammunition was discovered. The police will continue these actions to enhance public safety.
