The National Bank of Romania published the exchange rate for Monday, March 30, 2026, highlighting an appreciation of the Romanian leu against the British pound, which reached 5.8719 lei, the lowest level since March 6, 2026. Additionally, the leu appreciated against the euro, quoted at 5.0989 lei, and against the Swiss franc, at 5.5483 lei.
However, the leu lost ground against the US dollar, which is quoted at 4.4354 lei. Furthermore, the price of a gram of gold increased by 17.35 lei, reaching 646.3493 lei, the highest level in the last 10 days. These exchange rate fluctuations reflect the dynamics of financial markets and can have a significant impact on the Romanian economy.
