The Prefect Institution of Galați announced that the structural integrity of the building on Brăilei Street was not affected by the drone incident, thus allowing the majority of residents to return safely to their apartments.

However, the family in the apartment directly affected by the impact will remain evacuated. The electricity supply has been restored, but the natural gas supply will be suspended until the completion of further checks. The incident led to the evacuation of 30 people, and two individuals were injured and transported to the hospital.

Authorities continue to provide support to the affected residents, who were forced to leave their homes in haste following a powerful explosion. This incident is considered the most serious security attack in Romania since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
