The rental market enters its busiest period of the year in September, amid additional demand from students looking for housing before the start of the new academic year. According to an analysis by Imobiliare.ro, pressure on available listings could drive prices higher, while some landlords are attempting to obtain higher rents.

Bucharest is the most expensive city analyzed. The average rent is €400 per month for a studio, €600 for a one-bedroom apartment, and €890 for a two-bedroom apartment. However, differences between neighborhoods are considerable: in Militari, the average is €400, while in Primăverii it reaches €3,000.

In Cluj-Napoca, the average rent is €580 for a one-bedroom apartment and €750 for a two-bedroom apartment. In Brașov, the figures are €350, €500, and €680, depending on the type of housing. In Constanța, they reach €350, €500, and €650.

In Iași, average rents range from €340 to €550, while in Craiova, Galați, and Ploiești, studios cost approximately €300. Timișoara has the most affordable rates among the major university centers: €275 for a studio and €440 for a one-bedroom apartment. The cheapest studios are in Oradea, at €250 per month.‌»?,
