Bucharest leads in rental prices. What rental rates look like in the country’s major cities

The rental market enters September in the busiest period of the year, amid the additional demand generated by students looking for accommodation before the start of the new academic year. According to an analysis by Imobiliare.ro, Bucharest is the most expensive city in the country for tenants.

In the capital, the average rent reaches 400 euros per month for a studio apartment, 600 euros for a two-room apartment, and 890 euros for a three-room apartment. Militari is the most affordable neighborhood, with an average of 400 euros, while in Primăverii the rent reaches approximately 3,000 euros per month.

Cluj-Napoca follows Bucharest, with 580 euros for a two-room apartment and 750 euros for a three-room apartment. In Brașov and Constanța, the average rent for a two-room apartment is 500 euros, while in Iași it reaches 450 euros.

The lowest studio apartment prices are found in Oradea, where the average is 250 euros, and in Timișoara, at 275 euros. Specialists advise students to start looking early, as some landlords raise prices during this period.
